Supply only terms

These terms apply when you order made-to-measure windows or doors from HomeView Glazing and Doors LTD as a supply-only purchase, without installation by HomeView. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy.

The contract

Placing an order is an offer to buy the specification you confirmed. A contract is formed when we accept the order and you complete payment on the payment link we send. Manufacture does not start until payment is received.

Made-to-measure goods and cancellation

The products are manufactured to the width, height and specification you confirm. Trading standards guidance identifies genuinely made-to-measure double-glazed windows as goods that can be excluded from the usual Consumer Contracts Regulations cancellation right. That exclusion is not automatic for every configurable product. By confirming manufacturing sizes you agree the goods are bespoke. This does not affect your rights if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Your sizes

You are responsible for the manufacturing sizes. HomeView will make the product to the millimetres confirmed at checkout. If you are unsure, use the measuring guide, add a measure-only visit where offered, or book a fitted survey instead.

Building Regulations

In Wales, replacement windows and doors are subject to Building Regulations. Approved Competent Person Schemes include CERTASS, FENSA and others. For a genuine supply-only purchase, HomeView does not certify somebody else’s installation. The purchaser or installer must ensure the installation complies with applicable Building Regulations and obtain the appropriate certification or approval where required.

Delivery, collection and title

Collection from Newport is free. Local and national delivery charges are shown at checkout. Risk in the goods passes on collection or on delivery to the address you give. Title passes on receipt of payment in full.

Price and VAT

Website prices are HomeView retail selling prices, including VAT at the prevailing rate where VAT applies. They are not trade or manufacturer costs. Your invoice will show the VAT amount. If a published manufacturer cost schedule changes before we accept the order, we may contact you to confirm the price before payment.
