How to measure for a supply-only window
Wrong sizes cannot be altered after manufacture. Measure in millimetres, check three points, and confirm the smallest figure at checkout.
Width
- Measure the structural opening width at the top, middle and bottom.
- Use the smallest of the three measurements.
- If you are replacing a window, measure the existing frame width unless your fitter has told you to order to the brick-to-brick opening minus fitting tolerance.
Typical fitting tolerance is decided by the installer. HomeView manufacture to the millimetre you confirm.
Height
- Measure the structural opening height at the left, centre and right.
- Use the smallest of the three measurements.
- Decide whether the cill is included in the height you are ordering. If you select a cill in the designer, the overall frame height is the figure you enter.
