How to measure for a supply-only window

Wrong sizes cannot be altered after manufacture. Measure in millimetres, check three points, and confirm the smallest figure at checkout.

Width

  1. Measure the structural opening width at the top, middle and bottom.
  2. Use the smallest of the three measurements.
  3. If you are replacing a window, measure the existing frame width unless your fitter has told you to order to the brick-to-brick opening minus fitting tolerance.

Typical fitting tolerance is decided by the installer. HomeView manufacture to the millimetre you confirm.

Height

  1. Measure the structural opening height at the left, centre and right.
  2. Use the smallest of the three measurements.
  3. Decide whether the cill is included in the height you are ordering. If you select a cill in the designer, the overall frame height is the figure you enter.
